There are different types of invisible ink that have been used over the years. They would go to elaborate means to hide their invisible ink as well as the means for revealing the secret messages. In more recent times, invisible ink was an important tool for spies during World War I and World War II. The use of invisible ink goes back more than 2000 years and was first used by the Ancient Greeks and Romans.
